Problem Note 20396: Certain characters might cause a problem with information maps in SAS® Enterprise Guide®
Certain characters might cause problems when trying to use an
information map in SAS Enterprise Guide or other clients such as the
Add-In for Microsoft Office. This will most likely occur when using a
Unix-based SAS Metadata Server, and the description of a column, or
other data related value includes a dash or other unicode character.
To circumvent the problem, remove special characters from names and
descriptions associated with the information map.
